Solar Energy- ‘A fuel for future’

Release time:2020-06-15

There is no denying the fact that due to over population and technological advancement, energy demand is growing exponentially with every passing day. It is not an issue with a country or two but it has become a global phenomenon. This has burdened the conventional resources of energy like coal, natural gas, petroleum etc. leading them on to the verge of extension and creating environmental pollution. Therefore, the need to go for a renewable, reliable and cost effective source of energy to meet the demand of the growing population has aroused. Solar, Thermal, Hydropower, Geothermal are few of the main renewable sources of energy among which solar energy can truly be said to be the energy of the future. It is abundant and freely available in nature that can manage and cure the energy crisis. The fast developing pace of the solar industry reflects the high demand of solar energy than any other source.

Factors Making Solar Energy Fuel of Future

There are several factors that make solar energy the best source of energy for future & few of them are mentioned below-

Unlike conventional sources of energy, solar energy is a renewable source of energy that means, it is abundant and freely available in nature. Sun provides the continuous flow of energy that is converted by the solar panels to produce electricity.

Low Operating Cost:

The process of converting sunlight into electricity i.e., the photovoltaic process does not need any fuel and has least or no variable cost making the whole process of getting electricity cost effective.

Clean Source of Energy:

In the process of making electricity, no harmful gas or greenhouse gas is emitted in the atmosphere as compared to the energy we get from fossil fuels. Hence, it does not have any negative impact on the environment resulting in lower environmental pollution.

Reduces Electricity Bill: Installation of solar panels reduces the dependency of electricity from local utility, hence, reduces the electricity bill.

Versatile Installation: It is extremely easy and simple to install a solar panel that means it can be easily installed in both horizontal and vertical spaces. Since, it uses the energy of the sun; it can be even installed in a remote place where providing electricity would have been difficult otherwise.

The Sun, which is an inexhaustible source makes solar energy infinite and renewable, unlike conventional sources of energy. We all are aware how the conventional sources of energy are exhaustible and have an adverse effect on nature. Therefore, it is high time that we switch on to a form of energy that detoxifies nature and serves humanity till eternity and solar energy is the best form of renewable form of energy and can be considered as the fuel of the future.
